Approaching Difficulties in Literacy Development : Assessment, Pedagogy and Programmes

This Reader considers the complexity of literacy difficulties, showing how research into literacy difficulties has to be multi-faceted and multi-disciplinary and involve a range of research approaches and methods. Janet Soler is a Senior Lecturer and co-convener of the Pedagogy, Learning and Curriculum Group in the Faculty of Education and Language Studies at The Open University, UK. Gavin Reid is a consultant at the Center for Child Evaluation and Teaching (CCET) in Kuwait. He was previously Senior Lecturer in Educational Studies at the University of Edinburgh.
