Extraviado en un mar de contradicciones existenciales, un escritor busca su historia en medio de un laberinto de recuerdos enredados y borrosos, de breves reflexiones y angustiosos momentos, de persecuciones y sospechas. Paulatinamente se sumerge en el absurdo: entre la necesidad de saber quién es Borya y la tentación de convertirse en él, entre pretenderse libre y sentirse manipulado a distancia, entre libros y personajes de libros que le acechan.

Dos absurdos en la cara más desesperada del mundo: el escritor frustrado que viaja en búsqueda de libros jamás leídos; el desconocido que, desde una tierra desahuciada, suplica por teléfono que se le permita pagar una deuda. Entre delirios y accidentes, todo en esta novela luce como casualidad y puede dejar de serlo: juego de espejos donde los idiomas se mezclan, donde todos somos utilizados y sometidos por una causa inentendible, donde las urgencias del mundo sólo lo son si hay en torno a ellas un debate mediático. Sin cámaras no hay sangre. Sin reality show no hay realidad. Sin lector no hay obra.

Esta novela es un juego inteligente donde los motivos, a manera de matrioshka, se van descubriendo uno a uno, con un final inesperado.

Journalists and chroniclers travel to tell stories, to transform places into words; I travel to protect what was written yet ignored.

Stranded in a world of existential contradictions, a writer looks for his story in a labyrinth of tangled and blurred memories, one of brief reflections and painful moments. Gradually he plunges into the absurd: between the need to know who Borya is and the temptation to become him.

Two absurdities become evident in a desperate world: the frustrated writer who travels in search of books never-before read; and the stranger who, from a faraway place, begs by telephone to be allowed to pay his debt. Bouncing between confusion and mishaps, everything in this novel looks like it could be a coincidence and or not, where the urgencies of the world are only urgent if there is a media debate that comes with them. Without a reality show there is no reality. Without a reader there is no written work.

This novel is a mind game where people’s motives are brought to light one by one, and converge in an unexpected end.
