Over ten years at the helm of Ner Tamid of Baltimore, MD, Rabbi Yisrael Motzen has inspired, uplifted, and challenged his congregation with his talk-of-the-town sermons. Ashira Lashem is a collection of eleven hand-picked sermons that reflect Rabbi Motzen's Torah philosophy and way of life.

Rabbi Yisrael Motzen, a native of Montreal, Canada, serves as rabbi of Ner Tamid Greenspring Valley Synagogue in Baltimore, MD. He also serves as the Special Assistant to the EVPs of the Orthodox Union. He is a Ner Israel Rabbinical College graduate and holds an M.A. in Clinical Community Counseling from Johns Hopkins University. Yisrael writes regularly in various Jewish publications and is involved in several initiatives and projects focused on strengthening the Jewish community.
