Can a Girl Still be Swept off of her Feet?The story resumes a year after her father's death. Gabrielle is still reeling from her loss. In many ways, the bar scene becomes a safe refuge for her to hide from the pain of death and loss. The club environment also serves as a stage for the weekly soap opera which ignites the never ending drama which involves other tragic lovers who are near and dear to her. Gabrielle questions her infatuation with Brett Cody who is a band member of Psychedelic Alligator amongst hilarious events that can only happen in the midnight hours between a 'quick smoke' during a set break and the 'last call for alcohol'. Although it is against her better judgment, she harbors a fantasy that one day Brett will come around and sweep her off her feet. Her perception upon who she actually loves might actually be caused by an ego driven enchantment. Can her prince actually be somewhere within the Beast? Confusing times lie ahead for Gabrielle as she starts on the road of self discovery. Consequently, she will also embark on a personal quest to see who really deserves her heart. The question is, "Will she be swept off her feet" or "Will she be devoured by her own desire for the beast?"
