Behind the Badge: A Psychological Treatment Handbook for Law Enforcement Officers

Law enforcement officers have historically carried the major responsibility of both maintaining and overcoming regimes and power centers. From the Roman Centurion to the local Sheriff's department, they have all carried the burden of establishing, defending, and protecting both those in power and those needing protection from those same leaders. Following on their treatment handbook for military personnel, editors Sharon and Arthur Freeman, Bret Moore, and new editor Laurence Miller have assembled the top names in the field to discuss the role mental health practitioners have in law enforcement and security, and how to address the issues that continually come up while working with this population.
