David Middleton, Distinguished Service Professor of English and poet-in-residence at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana, is the author of The Burning Fields (LSU Press, 1991). He serves as poetry editor of the Anglican Theological Review, the Classical Outlook, and the Louisiana English Journal.
