Black Robe

During the 1840s, a Jesuit missionary has been declared a traitor by the U.S. government and an apostate by the Church. He has committed the unpardonable offense of siding with the Indians, seeking justice for the tribespeople whose homelands are coveted by a growing American populace. Father Stephen Morgan lies gravely wounded when a Sioux village in which he is living is attacked by the US cavalry. He's found by White Fawn, a young Indian woman who has grown to love the blackrobe and who prevents his being captured by the wasichu, the white man.
