Boardsmanship

on-profit organizations (npos) are a significant part of community life and the economy in the United States. The variety of their purposes and sizes presents challenges of analysis, understanding, and efficient and effective operation. NPOs are governed by boards of volunteers: Good people with good intentions who too often don't know enough to know they don't know enough. This book tells npo volunteers what they need to do and what they need to know to govern effectively - and gives them practical tools to aid in the governing process.
