A Body of Evidence explores recovery from childhood trauma in a tense memoir that spans more than 50 years. Told with painful honesty and shares her own journey to recovery and healing.Set against the backdrop of the Canadian landscape Heather tells the story of transition from living on the streets in the City of Toronto as an underage minor, to finding her own strength in rural Nova Scotia. Her mother, a woman with presumed postpartum psychosis after giving birth to a daughter in the mid 50's struggles with social pressures. Her daughter suffers the consequences.Struggling to heal and recover from trauma and abuse as well as serious health problems Heather explores avenues of recovery through natural medicine, psychotherapy, spirituality and social justice.
