Annie Pinkerton Boone Newcastle has arrived in the Arizona Territory from Iowa for a a pre-arranged marriage, but her newly acquired -- and much older -- husband expires just after their honeymoon begins, leaving Annie without funds and the sole support of his two elderly relatives. To make matters worse, the dead geezer has the unmitigated gall to take up residence inside Annie's body. Yet the ghost of Jonas Newcastle makes himself useful by channeling information from the great beyond through Annie.
