Amy L. Cohn received degrees with honors in both history and children's literature and has been active in the children's book field since 1979. Her various experiences include marketing director for The Horn Book Magazine, adjunct faculty member at Simmons College Center for the Study of Children's Literature, and book reviewer for various media including CBS Morning News, National Public Radio, Christian Science Monitor Radio Network, Parents Magazine, and The New York Times Book Review. She is currently a children's book editor in New York City, president of the Children's Literature Assembly, and a popular lecturer about children's books and reading at national conferences.
