Meg burden has been reading fantasy and science fiction since sometime around kindergarten. She graduated with a B.A. in music from Mary Baldwin College at 18 and shortly afterward, began writing when she wasn't waitressing, tending parrots (really), and teaching as a graduate student at the University of Virginia.Nowadays she lives in a small Nebraska town with more cows than people and divides her time between writing and raising Siamese cats. She's actively involved in online science fiction fandom, which she credits with teaching her to write and keeping her sanity intact.She is currently co-writing a six-book series of tie-in novels for the television show Stargate Atlantis.Her last book, Northlander, received the Foreword Magazine Book of the Year award and was an International Reading Association Notable Book.
