Borderland Churches

"Borderland Churches" is a call to embrace postmodern culture. Gary Nelson compares the church with the children of Israel in their pilgrimage through the desert. Contemporary culture is the wilderness and God calls us to sojourn in it. Only individuals and congregations that understand and accept this challenge will be able to carry on Christian ministry in this new cultural situation. This is a book intended for ministers and church leaders. It calls the church to recognize that the cultural changes lead us to a post Christian society. It is futile to try to stop the changes. The church is doing mission in a social context that has changed radically and, therefore, has to do mission in a new way.
