The author (Michael Naliborski) was born and has lived in the southwest his entire life. He is a veteran of many wilderness and river trips, he loved doing them with his wife of 50 years when time allowed. He worked everything from West Texas drill rigs to municipal water departments and retired after a long career with the City of Flagstaff. He always loved to read, his favorite authors were Herman Melville and Tony Hillerman. He took up writing himself after retirement.Illustrator Robin Adams was born and raised in Arizona. She is a talented illustrator who has an uncanny ability to grasp concepts and bring them to life.
