Mark W. DeLancey is a Professor and former Chair of the Department of Government and International Studies at the University of South Carolina. Mark D. DeLancey is a doctoral student in African and Islamic art history at Harvard University. He has also studied at Oberlin College and the American University in Cairo, and is currently conducting research on architecture and cultural identity in northern Cameroon.
