"The Cave,"- which is a magical science-fiction adventure. I have had "The Cave' professionally edited and is ready to be published. "The Cave" takes the reader on a journey through underwater cave systems, as the three main characters encounter betrayal from their dive team, which leaves them stranded in the underwater cave system fighting for their survival. The team of three, which involve Bob and Megan- who have recently fallen in love and married in a whirlwind weekend in Vegas- and Sara, Megan's oldest and dearest friend. The team of three begins encountering bizarre and extraordinary sights as they desperately attempt to make their way back out of the caves. They encounter a clan of Neanderthals living deep within the cave system. The Neanderthals believe that Bob, Sara, and Megan are gods and enthusiastically welcome them into their clan. Unfortunately, for the three, being treated as a god in this Neanderthal culture is disturbing to the modern day humans, as they witness human sacrifices in their honor. Although confused by how the Neanderthals came to settle in this cave, the team of three must adjust to life with the Neanderthals in order to survive. Megan, who is pregnant with Bob's child, sadly dies during childbirth, but the baby is healthy and Sara steps in to care for him.The team of three befriends a young Neanderthal girl, whom Bob and Sara escape the cave with. Their escape is threatened when the Neanderthals discover their plan, and they must fight their way up the surface of the Earth. When they finally arrive, they are in a vast and mountainous part of the world, where they battle what seems like perpetual winter. Having started this journey with only their diving suits, they're forced to live off the land and leave behind their modern day notions of life. As they trek southward, in hopes of finding a warmer climate, they continue to encounter strange sights that make them question where, and when, they really are. After battling a saber-toothed tiger and woolly mammoth, Sara and Bob realize they have most certainly gone back in time. Finally, they encounter another clan of humans, who invite Bob to be their leader after he single handedly slays the woolly mammoth. This group of humans is fighting for their survival in a cold and barren territory. Bob and Sara teach the clan innovative and modern day solutions, and begin to feel a sense of purpose as they help this clan to survive. Ultimately the clan is attacked by a group of Neanderthals and Bob dies protecting the women and children of the clan. Sara, deeply grieving the loss of Bob, is visited by an unknown figure who explains how they went back in time and how Sara must carry on in order for the survival of the human race. This book can be marketed to science-fiction enthusiasts, as well as adventure lovers. Possibly even a movie. "The Cave" offers more than the average adventure book as it deals with larger issues of the development of mankind, and the human instinct to carry on and have faith even in the most extreme circumstances. The characters experience love, conflict, and fear, as their adventure unfolds and they are forced to question their perception of reality.
