One of four children, R. J. Brown was born in the bustling city of Toronto, Canada. From a young age, R. J. was an avid reader and had a deep love for sports. He would become a prolific multi-sport athlete into his late teens, excelling in hockey, baseball, football and track and field. R. J. also had an equal love for both drawing and writing.
