Olov Sterner is Head of the Division of Organic Chemistry as well as of the Department of Chemistry at Lund University in Sweden. Originally an organic chemist he became interested in bioactive natural products and has conducted research aiming at the isolation, characterization, synthesis, and QSAR studies of secondary metabolites from plants and fungi. Professor Sterner has published more than 330 research papers, 20 conference papers, 120 conference abstracts and 20 patents.
