Children and Social Change Memories of Diverse Childhoods

Children and Social Change examines experiences not commonly associated with everyday childhood. Drawing on her research, Dorothy Moss uses adult memories of childhood to examine everyday childhood in relation to arenas more commonly associated with the world of adults for example, those related to employment, religion, policing, war and migration. She explores children's understanding and experience of the spaces around them and their agency in the production of space and time and considers childhood in relation to dominant spatial and temporal systems, institutions and critical events, and patterns of inequality, diversity and commonality related to pathways through childhood.
