Christianity Lite

It is time that we allow God to totally transform our lives instead of being satisfied with powerless, ineffective Christianity. In recent years we've seen many food and beverage products created with a "lite" version-potato chips, whip cream, maple syrup, and even beer. Many may remember the light beer ad campaign a few years back, "More of what you want. Less of what you don't want." Glen Berteau believes many Christians have the same expectation of their faith. They want more of the blessings, more of the promises, and more of the prosperity. But they don't want the serving, the holiness, the sacrifice, and the transformation that are required of everyone who calls himself a disciple of Christ. As a result, many churches have watered down, decaffeinated, and diluted the message of the gospel until it really has no effect on the lives of the people in the pews. Statistics show that there are more Christians in America today than ever before, but statistics also show that there is very little difference in the lifestyle of today's Christians and those who are still in the world. Christianity Liteserves as a wake-up call that it's time to stop watering down something that has been blood-bought and shows us how to get back to doing the things that Jesus said His disciples must do-back to a faith that makes a difference.
