This is the second part of Colin Tyler's new critical assessment of the social and political thought of T.H. Green (1836-1882). This volume concerns the social and political aspects of Thomas Hill Green's liberal socialism. It focuses on the relationship between personal freedom, the common good and rights, within the context of a liberal socialist civil society. It explores Green's analysis of capitalism and the proper sphere of state action.
