Mark D Shermis is professor of education and dean at the University of Akron. He is a licensed psychologist in the states of Florida, California, Indiana, and Ohio, and is a fellow of the American Psychological Association (Division 5) and the American Educational Research Association. Francis J. Di Vesta is professor emeritus of psychology and education at the Pennsylvania State University, where he developed graduate and research programs in learning and cognitive processes. He has authored or coauthored two introductory textbooks and numerous journal articles on education psychology.
