Comets, Asteroids, and Meteors

What are comets and asteroids like, and could we ever visit one? Taking the form of an imaginary trip, this book explores the science and history of these objects, looking at recent studies and possibilities for the future.

Stuart Atkinson is an amateur astronomer, as well as a blogger, poet, and Outreach Educator. He has written many astronomy books for young people. If he could go anywhere in the solar system, he'd choose Mars. Dr. Geza Gyuk is the Director of Astronomy at the Adler Planetarium and Astronomy Museum as well as a Senior Research Associate at the University of Chicago. He is developing programs that give students experience with hands-on space-exploration, using high-altitude balloons.
