"The Cost of Deceit and Delay" is not about partisan politics. It is about holding our elected and appointed government leaders accountable for obeying the law. When President Obama directed his Secretary of Energy to take Yucca Mountain "off the table" as the nation's only nuclear waste repository site, he violated the Nuclear Waste Policy Act. Three private citizens dared to file a lawsuit against the President, the Secretary of Energy, the Department of Energy, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, and its former chairman Gregory Jaczko and established in a court of law that none of these individuals or agencies had the legal authority to terminate the Yucca Mountain Project.
