Chief Superintendent Christy Mangan is a retired Garda from Co Meath. He joined An Garda Sí ochá na upon leaving school in 1980 and over the course of his forty year career, he was involved in more than 200 murder investigations, including the 'Scissor Sisters' case. He twice received the Scott Medal for valour in the performance of duty. Mangan established the Serious Crime Review Team in 2007, investigating historic cold cases. His first non-fiction book, Cracking the Case, will be published by Sandycove in 2023.
