Wende and Harry Devlin have written and illustrated more than twenty-five books for young readers, including the Old Witch series. Several of their delightful books have been made into movies. This is the seventh title in their popular Cranberry series, which includes Cranberry Thanksgiving, Cranberry Christmas, Cranberry Halloween, Cranberry Valentine, Cranberry Mystery and Cranberry Birthday. They lived in Mountainside, New Jersey.

Harry Devlin was co-author and illustrator of 28 children's books. His whimsical and colorful illustrations have won many awards. As an active contributor to the arts community, he served as President of both the Society of Illustrators and the National Cartoonists Society and was a guiding force in the New Jersey State Council of the Arts.
