The Key Issues in Crime and Punishment Series contains five brief, issues-based books offering pron examinations of controversial programs, practices, problems, or issues from varied perspectives. Each volume consists of approximately 20 chapters tackling controversial issues in each of the key topical areas of the criminal justice system (with chapters followed by recommended readings highlighting different approaches to or perspectives on the issue at hand).A broad range of issues are arranged within each volume; for instance, Volume One, Crime and Criminal Behavior includes such hotly debated topics as age of consent, euthanasia and assisted suicide, gambling, guns, internet pornography, marijuana and other drug laws, religious convictions, and terrorism and extremism. Authorship is comprised of eminent scholars and experts in the fields of criminology, police science, law, sociology, psychology, and other curricula.
