Crossed Out

In this story H R Roth introduces Detective Inspector George Washington of the Sydney Metropolitan Police Force, who always gets his man (or woman). His attempt at investigating a crime is frustrated by his boss, who doesn't want him to succeed. As a result, he leaves the police force. Later, when working as a private investigator, he finds himself again trying to solve the same crime. But now it is clear that a serial killer is involved. As he gets closer to his target he receives many death threats and evades a number of attempts on his life.
