Danny Wolff's Winter Adventure

Danny receives a train ticket to visit his uncle for his birthday. At a train stop, he gets off to buy a soda. He trips and gets bruised. Distracted, Danny fails to notice the train leaving and is left stranded.Frightened by his predicament and anxious to get away from some rowdy older boys, Danny begins walking. He meets Annie Fox, a run-away, who talks him into taking her with him.They face numerous harrowing experiences. They meet up with a homeless man who joins them on the adventure and leads them to an abandoned hunting cabin. They rescue an injured puppy and name it Birthday Boy in honor of Danny's birthday.At the cabin, Tte trio rescues a kidnapped oil tycoon and help subdue his kidnappers. Danny gets knocked unconscious during a mêlée. He hears his mother calling out his name, When he awakes, he is in his own bed. She tells him he'd better hurry and get ready for his train trip.
