This edition contains legal verdicts concerning Nazi capital crimes passed by the East German judiciary operating in the Soviet occupied zone (SBZ) and, after 1949, in the territory of the GDR. 927 trials dealing with the crimes such as those of Oradour or the Warsaw Ghetto, are documented in approximately 13 volumes. The series supplements the series Nazi Crimes on Trial, but also records proceedings for National Socialist crimes of homicide from the early years of the regime, 1933/34. In addition, it also covers the sentences of the so-called "Rehabilitation trials" since 1991.
