Dealings with God

This collection examines the three institutional players in the infamous 2006 Duke Lacrosse case: the criminal justice system, the media, and the university. The contributors consider and discuss the role each institution played in this case, how each contributed to the crisis and to its resolution, how each interacted with other institutions and institutional actors, the problems in those interactions, and the lessons of this case about the appropriate conduct and function of each institution.
