Dr MARY MURRAY has taught in universities in the UK and Ireland and is currently Senior Lecturer in Sociology at Massey University, New Zealand. Her publications include The Law of the Father? (Routledge, 1995) and she is co-editor of the New Zealand Journal of Sociology.
