Development Journey Through Childhood and Adolescence CD-ROM

This multimedia learning tool includes eight interactive units that cover development from the prenatal period through adolescence and literally brings development to life. Through the use of unscripted, real video footage, students will see everything from live births to a toddler taking its first steps to a teen mom discussing how her life has changed since becoming a mother. The Flash and 3-D video animations teach students visually about the inner workings of the human body, including the reproductive organs, conception, and pregnancy. Written by Dr. Kelly Welch of Kansas State University, the CD-ROM includes several exercises for students, such as "drag-and-drop" activities, multiple-choice quizzes, flash-cards of glossary terms, journal writing, and instant feedback exercises called "Mad Minutes."
