Devin's Gift

A joyous story of friendship and a celebration of being our true selves—and loving our friends for who they truly are. Perfect for fans of Julian is a Mermaid.

Devin does everything with his best friend, Luka. They climb trees, share snacks, and play games—always together. So, when it comes time for Devin to get a birthday present for Luka, he knows it has to be just right. But what gift is best for his best friend?

Devin’s family offers suggestions: a baseball mitt, a fire truck, a dinosaur. But Devin knows that none of those is quite right. It’s only when his grandmother offers some helpful advice that Devin realizes just what to get for Luka.

In this heartwarming story of friendship at its most pure, embracing friends as they truly are is the greatest gift of all.
