I awoke to the sounds of my two girls screaming. As i came down the hall there he was swinging Ashley around by her hair. I began screaming and hitting him telling him to stop. He turned on me, threw me down and began choking me. What a family goes through from the first sign of domestic vioence until the strength comes to get away from it. The pain of staying in an abusive relationship or leaving. The decisions that have to be made once the abuser has been arrested, and what the law and courts do once it has been turned over to them.
