Die Studie beschäftigt ich mit einem bislang in der empirischen Forschung wenig beachteten Gegenstand '‘ der Diskursdeixis, also dem Verweisen auf Teile oder Aspekte des laufenden Diskurses bzw. Textes (bekannte Vertreter sind z.B. 'žsiehe oben'œ oder 'žwie ich vorhin schon sagte'œ). Dabei geht die Studie korpusgestützt vor, d.h. sie identifiziert und klassifiziert alle diskursdeiktischen Verweise in Korpora unterschiedlicher Textsorten und leitet aus den Korpusbefunden eine neue Theorie der Diskursdeixis ab.
