Drag Queen Story Hour

Originating from a text message between siblings, Drag Queen Story Hour is a fully illustrated children's book designed to create safe spaces for expression and play, highlight community connectivity, and repel politicized "stories" of Drag.

Reading to children increases their literacy and creates an educational advantage for them amongst their peers. With fun rhythm and rhyme, Drag Queen Story Hour creates a little slice of fun within 28 pages, allowing the reader to enjoy story-telling and for children to see a representation of all members of society.

Tessa Quinones and her family live in Florida. Tessa is a strong proponent of creating safe spaces for expression and play for all ages and knows that reading to children gives them an advantage over their peers. While not creating children's books, Tessa enjoys gardening and dolphin watching.
