This book provides an overview of a new program designed to help cities in developing countries achieve greater ecological and economic sustainability. Innovative cities around the world have demonstrated that efforts in pursing ecological and economic sustainability can be mutually reinforcing. By doing so, such cities have improved the quality of life of their citizens, enhanced their economic competitiveness and resilience, and strengthened their fiscal capacity.
