Edition und Interpretation Moderner Lyrik seit Holderlin

The contributions in this volume, written by edition specialists and poetry scholars, explore the poetic works of Friedrich Hölderlin, Stefan George, Rudolf Borchardt, Rainer Maria Rilke, Georg Trakl, Gottfried Benn, Bertolt Brecht, Paul Celan and Ernst Jandl and the various editions in which they have appeared. Different aspects of the making of editions of modern poetry are discussed, and new criteria are established for historical-critical editions as well as for study editions and readers' editions. The book discusses what kind of reader each edition addresses and what consequences the different ways of making editions have for the interpretation of modern poetry.
