El almacén de la historia

Desde la Antigüedad, el estudio sobre el pasado ha llevado a la recopilación de numerosos documentos y al desarrollo de una producción histórica que se atesora en nuestras bibliotecas y archivos. La Historia se almacena pero se constituye, asimismo, en un gran almacén generador y difusor de interpretaciones sobre las que meditar. Eso es precisamente lo que pretende este volumen redactado por especialistas en diferentes ramas del conocimiento, reflexionar sobre obras, historiadores y corrientes historiográficas que han determinado nuestra forma de ver la Historia.

From the Age of Antiquity, the study of the past has led to the accumulation of innumerable texts. These have given rise to treasured collections that are safeguarded in libraries and archives. Written compendiums are carefully stored, and have become invaluable tools. With them, we are able to interpret and share our past. This volume focuses on various historical disciplines that have been analyzed by specialists. These researchers have worked meticulously to assess the accounts and events that have shaped our history. 
 

Guadalupe Soria Tomás is a professor of Spanish Literature at UC3M. She has participated in the Almahisto project. Martí Garrancho teaches Ancient History at UC3M, and has worked as a lead researcher for the Almahisto project. She is an academic correspondent to the Real Academia de la Historia, and the author of several books and articles pertaining to historiography.
