This proceedings covers topics in technology and processes to improve industrial energy efficiency, reduction in CO2 and other greenhouse gases, and alternative energy sources. It addresses the need for sustainable technologies in extractive metallurgy, materials processing, and manufacturing industries with reduced energy consumption and CO2 emission. The book includes discussion on solar and electrochemical CO2 conversion and utilization technologies for fuels synthesis, such as (but not limited) photo-electrochemical, photocatalytic, electrochemical and solar thermo-chemical methods.
