England and the War

Walter Alexander Raleigh (1861 ¿1922) was a Scottish scholar, poet and author. At the outbreak of World War I he turned to the war as his primary subject for a series of lectures. His works include The English Novel (1894), Robert Louis Stevenson: An Essay (1895), Style (1897), Milton (1900), and Six Essays on Johnson (1910).
