Just think of how boring life would be if it were not filled with challenges for people to overcome. They energize our minds and bodies to make accomplishments that may very well have been otherwise impossible. Just as in the story of The Little Engine That Could, the importance of developing an attitude of "I think I can! I think I can! I think I can!" cannot be overstated. Whereas my first book analyzed in great detail what I call "the over-protectionism of people with disabilities today," this book takes a much more personal perspective as I describe the challenges I have in life and how I have used them to strengthen my resolve in life. This book serves as a great example of what can be accomplished in life by people with disabilities if they put things in proper perspective and try their best. I truly hope that the examples I use from my own life in this book will provide necessary motivations for people to be all they can be in life, appreciate their disabilities, and develop that special internal motivation, just as our army soldiers have, to "be all you can be."
