Evaluation and Poverty Reduction: Proceedings from a World Bank Conference

Poverty reduction was the theme of the 3rd Biennial World Bank Conference on Evaluation and Development. Participants discussed lessons learned from evaluations of poverty reduction, and explored new methodological approaches. Conference topics included the role of targeted and pro-poor growth policies; the design of social safety nets, and social service delivery systems; ways to include civil society and private sector institutions more effectively in development.
