R. Kent Smith, DMin, has devoted more than forty-five years to ministry within the United Pentecostal Church International. He is the founding pastor of Conroe Church in Conroe, Texas, where he currently serves as Bishop. In addition, he travels extensively as a global educator, equipping educators and church leaders around the world.
 
He and his wife, Tracie, have been married for forty-four years. They are the parents of two children and the grandparents of seven. Kent considers it a great joy to preserve and chronicle the ministerial journey of his parents where he is affectionately known as "Smith Kid #1."
