In this book the authors offer further analysis and new insights from their major study of nurses' development of clinical skill and judgment. The authors interviewed and observed nurses in 130 hospitals over a six-year period - mainly in critical care settings - collecting hundreds of narratives from nurses working at varying levels of skill.
