Exploring Atlantic Transitions

The fifteenth to the eighteenth centuries were a turbulent time around the North Atlantic, with a great deal of population movement on every scale: national, regional; rural, urban, suburban; international, tranjurisdictional, and especially transatlantic. The focus of this collection is the tail end of those processes: sedentism. The papers provide an interdisciplinary context for a fresh approach to the historical archaeology of early European exploitation of North America, and their links.
