The Extreme Right in France: From PTtain to Le Pen

In 2002 Jean Marie Le Pen, leader of the fascist National Front, shocked the world when he received the second biggest share of the vote in the French Presidential elections. This book explains Le Pen's worrying rise from the margins of politics to the heart of the French political system. As well as providing a detailed biography of Le Pen, this book also explores the wider development of the extreme right as a significant intellectual and political force within France.
