False Measures

Author Matthew Crisafulli was just three years old when his father and namesake, Matthew A. Crisafulli, died in a tragic car accident on March 13, 1978. In this memoir, Matthew, the son, traces the too-short years of his father's life. Gathered from extensive family interviews, False Measures delves into Matthew Sr.'s past and describes the many demons he wrestled with most of his young life. This memoir describes the love-hate relationship with his father, Anthony, in an abusive household; his enlistment in the Army and service in Vietnam; his struggles with substance abuse; his marriage to Susan; and his tragic death.
