Lawrence Bennett has been a part-time firefighter/EMT for the past 26 years and a full-time attorney for over 35 years. In his law practice as a partner in a Cincinnati law firm, Lawrence writes a monthly fire and EMS law newsletter where he represents fire chiefs, fire fighters, and emergency medical service personnel in federal and state courts, before the Ohio EMS Board, and before township trustees and other municipalities throughout Ohio. Lawrence has also been an adjunct professor at the University of Cincinnati, Fire Science Department and at Cincinnati State Technical and Community College, as well as a guest lecturer at the National Fire Academy, Executive Fire Officer class, and at the Ohio Fire Academy. Lawrence is general counsel for the Warren County (OH) Fire Chiefs’ Association and has now become legal counsel for the Commission on Accreditation of Air Transport Systems, which certifies air care operations nationwide .
